The best months to visit the islands of Greece are May, June, early July, September and early October. Avoid late October because the weather gradually becomes rough. If you want to visit the mainland, then March, April, May, June, September and October are the best months. July and August are very warm and busy. In the winter the northern part of the country can be quite cold, the south however is much milder. Throughout Greece the rainy season occurs between November and March when you can expect heavy rains.
